Who is Jacob?
Currently residing in Stockholm, I have been working for TenderEasy as a customer success manager since 2017, the latest two years in the capacity of team leader.
Why did you join TenderEasy?
Before joining TenderEasy, I worked for a consultancy company where I took part in several transport tenders. It was during this time that I first heard of TenderEasy and started trying it out a little bit.
As my colleague at the time started working at TenderEasy, it didn’t take long before he asked me to follow suit. Which I did, knowing the potential of TenderEasy to improve the hassle filled and time-consuming tendering processes I was used to. And I haven’t had any regrets doing do so.
What is your experience in the transportation/freight industry?
Like I mentioned, I spent several years working for a consultancy firm, performing freight tenders on behalf of customers from a wide range of industries. But that’s not all we did, as all manner of logistics connected tasks and projects were carried out.
Before that I was busy earning my master’s degree in industrial engineering with a focus on supply chain management.
What are your main skills?
I don’t feel that I have a specific main skill. Instead, I’m what you’d call a generalist. I know a little bit about a lot of things.
Of course, my career so far has allowed me to focus intensely on freight procurement, so I dare say that my knowledge in the field of general freight procurement, whether it be global ocean freight of local distribution, is quite extensive. Which I like to put into practice by making sure that our customers get the most out of every tender they launch.
And your hobbies?
I very much enjoy being outdoors. Winter time is spent to a large degree on a pair of skis, whether it be cross country or downhill. In summer, I like to switch the skis for a mountain bike. My newest love is downhill mountain biking. It’s like skiing, but somewhat scarier and without having to put on 3-4 layers of clothes!
On the calmer side of the scale, I also enjoy orienteering quite a bit. For the uninitiated, it’s about using a map and a compass and trying to run an unmarked course through the forest, with a number of checkpoints along the way, as fast as possible. Great fun!
When should you reach to Jacob?
Any time! If you’re already a customer, if you want to become a customer, or just if you’re interested in TenderEasy in general.
