For the third consecutive month, we launched a short survey amongst TenderEasy providers to check on the evolution of the market situation following the COVID-19 pandemic.
The data presented below corresponds to the answers gathered from over 156 respondents, 81% operating road transport, and 88% of them based in Europe.
Overall, the results show a steady situation, with a positive - but slightly slower- evolution of the freight market than we saw in May and June.
The transport demand is positively evolving since May, and similarly, the tender inflow of the respondents is stable and similar to June.
Regarding free capacity, respondents indicate to have more free capacity if compared with the same period last year. However, here the trend is also positive when compared to the previous months after the pandemic.
The outlook is positive: while there is still a difference when compared to the same period last year, the freight market is witnessing a growing number of transport orders, and it is expected by 50% of respondents to grow in the coming months.
With one month of summer still ahead of us, we will be back at the end of August and end of September to check again on the market and see how the trends evolve with the end of the summer period and the evolution of the COVID-19 situation worldwide.
